Following his graduation from Birmingham University, Nigel continued his postgraduate training there, and was appointed a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at the Birmingham Women’s Hospital in 2002. He moved to Exeter in 2004 to help develop the Gynaecological Cancer Centre there.

Adjunct Professor Stephen Bolsin is a Specialist Anaesthetist at the Geelong Hospital in Australia who has established a reputation for excellence in the practice of perioperative medicine. 

Professor of Health Ergonomics at University of Surrey  (1981-2009) and more recently based in the Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London.

Dr Jane Carthey is a human factors specialist who has worked in the NHS for 15 years.

Sir Andrew is Chief Executive of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest foundation trusts in England with an annual budget in excess of £875million and 15,500 staff. It has been a Care Quality Commission (CQC) double excellent rated organisation for the last three years and has been the Dr Foster Trust of the Year three times in the last five years.
