Alastair McLellan, the editor-in-Chief of Nursing Times and HSJ said "Each one of our judging panels - filled with brightest minds in patient safety - found their powers of determination being tested again and again. The 70 shortlisted organisations represented in this room constitute the very best of those entries - and every one can be very proud of their presence here tonight."
The awards have shown that patient safety is becoming a mainstream concern in the health service and highlighted the brilliance and bravery with which the challenge is being addressed across the UK.
